GESTOCKAL SA was founded in 2000 in the fertile farmland of Murcia, at the heart of south-eastern Spain’s fruit and vegetable sector. The company was created with a clear vision: to meet the growing demand for storage facilities and cold rooms for frozen vegetables.
In a region where agriculture drives the economy, cold storage became essential to preserve quality and extend the shelf life of perishable products.
2005 was a major milestone for Gestockal. We went beyond cold storage and began producing ice in several formats: ice cubes in different sizes and flake ice. This diversification met a local need, and it also made us a key ice supplier to the agri-food industry and other demanding sectors.
In 2013, we introduced a series of technological innovations that radically transformed our operating capabilities. We equipped our facilities with advanced technology that allows some of our freezer rooms to switch to chilled operation.
This flexibility meant we could handle and store chilled products as well as frozen ones, which significantly broadened the range of services we offer our customers.
